Don’t postpone inspections and tune-ups until you’re caught in the middle of a snowstorm with a dead battery, tires without tread, and wipers that don’t work. Here at World Class Auto, we want you to drive safe out there, which is why we’re offering several pre-winter specials right now. You can get a winter inspection and/or a battery/starting system inspection for just $9.99 each (normally $45), as well as a BOGO on all new wiper blades.
If you haven’t already taken care of the 9 steps below, we highly recommend you do them as soon as possible to be prepared well before another snowy winter hits.
Antifreeze – Clean, flush, and put new antifreeze in the cooling system at least every 2 years.
Wipers – Consider winter wiper blades and use cold weather washer fluid. Wiper blades should be replaced every 6 months. Between now and November 15, you can come into World Class Auto to get a BOGO on all wiper blades.
Inspection – Schedule an inspection and tune-up before winter sets it. You can come get a complete winter inspection at World Class Auto for just $9.99 (normally $45).
Tires – Check the tread before driving on icy roads or on a snowy day. Consider buying special winter tires. Check tire pressure weekly during the colder months.
Emergency Kit – Make sure to have a kit with an ice scraper, snow brush, jumper cables, flashlight, blanket, extra clothes, bottled water, and snacks in the car at all times.
Gas – Keep your gas tank at least half full at all times to avoid running out of gas in a snowstorm or freezing gas lines.
Exhaust System – Check for carbon monoxide leaks – an especially dangerous hazard when driving with the windows up all winter.
Warming Up – The best way to warm up your engine is to drive gently when you start. Take it easy for the first 5 – 10 minutes of driving before pushing your car too hard.
Battery – Cold weather makes it difficult for batteries to operate and increase the likelihood of experiencing a dead battery. Have a complete Battery/Starter System inspection (now just $9.99 at World Class Auto) conducted before bad weather hits to avoid any inconveniences or hazards.
